Not much in the way of woodwork but still plenty of progress in the garden so a quick trip around it starting with the veg patch and finally the front garden
Old 99 Loco
Переглядів 7413 роки тому
Old 99 Loco built from Toy and joys plans if you want a set google them I will not copy them for anyone. Made from my wood pile that I collect from old furniture and other places I then clean that up and use that, sometimes I do need to buy wood in especially tulip wood. Main wood is from tulip wood and mahogany, this took about two months to build and is finished with a spray on lacquer as I f...

Experimental Paint work
Переглядів 636 років тому
Another experiment that went wrong but the wife liked it so I completed it. As you can see the paint shrank back leaving what appears to be cracks. Somehow the more I look at it the more I like it

DL, trying to contact you concerning the fire truck build, can you help me?
It depends on what help as long as it is not asking for the plans as they are not mine
I have the plans and have started assembly. However I'm unsure about the size of the front and back of the box. Also does the box slide onto the base and the box back fit below the base? Looking at your photos that is what it appears but I'm not sure. Also the plans do not indicate the progression of steps of the build and is somewhat confusing to me. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. @@diggerdelaney
If you are talking about the rear body box then it sits so that the sides and back panels are level with the bottom of the base board and the front panel sits on top and between the sides. I hope that helps on my plans which may be the older set it clearly shows the box assembly and how it fits. If this is not could you please explain which box @@johnglenn4938
Thanks DL, that does help (at this point at least) appreciate your help and I may have more questions in the future if that is okay.@@diggerdelaney
DL, did you apply any kind of finish on this fire truck? Thanks

Lloyds wood toy plans has a few motorcycle rocker plans that are great. Check them out.
"Extraordinaire" un super job.
Thank you
Parabéns, ótima solução. Baixíssima voltagem e alta amperagem.
I am working on this type of 🐎 now. Funny how things happen in Feb 14 2021.
Hope you enjoy the build this one took a year due to a stroke half way through so it helped with recovery as I was determined to finish it
I applaud you for your patience with so many small components it looks super cool
Como consigo os moldes???
perfect
very beautiful, congratulations
I was watching Tumbleboy Turnings this morning and found your site there. You are a fantabulous dad to make your son his first motorcycle.
Thank you but this was for my great-grandson. He is a little big for it now as it was 9 years ago
Very cool truck and very nice work. 👍
Thank you
Dang nice. I'm hoping to show this vid to my dad again once we finish all the building and stuff, so he can build me a Half track from wood ( May be mixed with metal ) for my plastic army men. Would be great transport and lots of fun.
Masterpiece. Only missing a reference of scale to show how big is this project
Jairo Size of the car is 17" X 6" X 6" to the top of the windscreen. Hope that helps
I'm intrigued... how did you get the grooves..?
Hi John, this was all done on the lathe with a homemade indexing system and a routing jig which runs on the board to give the horizontal grooves and then the jig is clamped to the board and the lathe rotated by hand for the radial ones it kept them all the same that way. I have got a picture somewhere of it completed
That is a definite "design opportunity" there. I looks great
Silly you that’s not a tram engine
gracias por el video y un saludo ecelente el modelo
Thank you Carlos
Lovely
Excellent ya, you have got skills...
Thank you I need to think about making another model soon as I also do some woodturning

no audio so I didn't watch. hate videos with no audio
First rate work and excellent choice of wood for contrast effect. Thanks for posting this slide show. I've built several models from T & J plans obtained from a variety of sources over the years, the plans for this half track arrived in post this morning (in UK) after ordering them 7 weeks ago from Bear Woods (in Canada) - I've never had a response from Toys and Joys ever when I try to get things from them! This will make a good project for me in the spring.
Thank you I enjoy their plans it is a shame that the company that use to sell them here in the UK closed. Hope to see it when complete. There were some parts that I had trouble finding how they went they can be seen at 13:40.
Hola excelente trabajo amigo ....tiene los planos para que me venda
You need to contact this guy who draws them up facebook.com/roger.jenkins.391?__tn__=%2CdC-RHH-R-R&eid=ARB4Z8k5GppPnMSHVelCl0OFWfLw9NG8OBomDRljWACmjFm9js0pWZi0P04N_4Is9bVPIYx5LNJrufeR&hc_ref=ARR8pgDH0Twt0DFygZIzCY99fLrQB7HZkO-UhN7yFFd-43oobPeZE8I7sw1KcjO6lL8&fref=nf

STATE OF THE ART. GREAT!!
Thank you Carlos
voce tem moldes?
I do not have any plans but if I remember I found them on the American site for tools called Rockler but I think they have been taken off.
Да, интересная работа)
Do you have any more clips of how you made the tracks?
No, I don't what part do you want to know about
perfetto
I like your work....do you perhaps have any free plans of your toys you make.....please
Sorry bit it's look like a Greyhound
Wow that is so cool. very well done.
Why use mdf for the rockers wouldn't it be better with a harder wood?
It is what I had plenty of and it is still going strong. Most of the build is done in multi layers which adds to the strength of it
I have Anthony Dew's book as well, that's where the REAL credit lies, with Anthony Dew.
nessuno ti regala i piani di cio che costruisce sono gelosi ho li compri ho niente
